Class library visits
You are welcome to bring your students into the library during opening hours at any time, but we would appreciate advanced notice of visits for large groups. This means that we can assure we have the space and resources you need and there is a librarian available for any questions.
Book displays
If your class is working on a particular project we can create book displays of relevant material for your students to refer to. While the books are on display we take them out of circulation so that everyone has access. Book displays are generally for one week.
Course reserve
If there are books that would be useful for your students to refer to throughout the term we can place them on Course Reserve. This means that the book will be taken out of circulation and be available for reference in the library. Course reserves are generally for one term or one semester.
Special collections
The library has a Special Collection kept in the library office. All items are searchable on the catalogue and include: limited edition books, artist & photobooks, delicate or rare items, & student publications. While these items are not available for loan, they can be requested for individual viewing in the library or we can make them available for classes either in the library or in the studios. Please get in contact with us if you would like show Special Collection items to class groups.
Library meeting room
We have a meeting room available (seats up to 6 people). If you would like to book it please contact us. When the meeting room is not booked it can be used ad hoc by library patrons. This room is only available during library opening hours.
